Press Release: D. J. Race Enterprise
Date: June 5, 2002

The D. J. Race Enterprise team finds their exciting new "Fan Involvement" program very successful during the first four Corvette Centrals Touring Challenge for Corvette Races of the 2002 season. This new program invites Corvette Clubs from a 250-mile radius of each track, out for an exciting weekend of racing.

"Our new program allows Corvette owners to come out and sign in as crew and to be an active part of the qualifying and racing going on", says Danny Kellermeyer the president of D. J. Race Ent. "These enthusiasts can come right up and talk to all the TCC drivers and ask any questions they have". Besides just the closeness of being there first hand during these first races, a track parade lap session was set up for Corvettes Club members to view and drive the track first hand during the noon tour.

After racing on Saturday the D. J. Racing team does a seminar at the transporter allowing the Corvette enthusiasts to once again see and touch performance. The guest speaker at Grattan Raceway was none other than GM's Corvette Brand Service Manager Dave Peacy. Dave gave a 50th Corvette overview and there was a 50th Corvette on hand for fans to view. It was a great surprise and served as the pace car to start the TCC race. A Corvette corral, door prizes, food and beverage as well as great conversation rounded out the complete weekend.

While the team was busy with the action and excitement the team drivers Robert Pfeffer and Danny Kellermeyer were still focused on racing and are leading the TCC Championship series with a 1st and 2nd placing respectively. While extremely good friends and team-mates off the track, these two drivers have captured five TCC Championship titles and there is going to be a real battle all year on the track for this seasons Championship title.

"The fan involvement weekend was a great idea", said Ed Kulbis from Beachcombers Corvette Club. "This is a great opportunity for the Corvette enthusiast to see a different side to the Corvette action. I know that every Corvette enthusiast who parked in the corral and visited you trailer was truly amazed with your operation". Comments like this have overwhelmed the team and its sponsors. Lynn Kennedy one of the Corvette participants says "I can't tell you how great it was to get up close and personal with all of you. I enjoyed the tour of your rig, cars, the food and the door prizes. I've attended lots of races and have never been treated so royally!"

Follow the TCC series, follow the team and be sure to take part in the "fan Involvement" Program when it comes close to your area.
